Prom is often one of the most significant events in one’s high school career. It can bring on a lot of joy and memories but also can be very hectic. Planning ahead can ease a lot of stress. Here are some things you should note:
- Attire: Plan out your budget and try to purchase your dress/tux a few weeks in advance. This will give you more of a variety to choose from. If you wait till the last minute, the dress/tux you may want might not come in your size or it could be sold out.
- Date: If there is someone you are thinking about asking, then you might want to ask them approximately two weeks ahead. This will allow you to plan other things like where you might go to eat, or how you’re going to get to prom.
- Tickets: The only way you can get into prom is with a ticket. Make sure you buy your ticket in the allowed time frame.
- Before prom plan: If you want to go out to eat you might want to call ahead and get a reservation especially if you are going in a large group. Saturday nights are commonly busy. Also make sure that you pick a place that everyone you are going with can agree on.
- Transportation: make sure you have a reliable ride there and back, whether it be you driving or riding with someone else.
- Optional: If you plan on getting your hair done, you might want to call in. (the sooner the better). The same is true with nail appointments. You might also want to start tanning a week or two before prom. Also you are probably going to want to get accessories like make up or jewelry.
- Lastly have fun, enjoy the prom.
