What to do When You Get Pulled Over

I recently got pulled over this past weekend. I was very nervous and scared, but in reality it wasn’t that bad. If you ever find yourself being pulled over don’t panic; it’s not as bad as it seems. When you get pulled over the officer is going to ask you if you know why he pulled you over. Then he will ask for your license and registration. He is going to go back to his car to check out all the information. This takes about 3-5 minutes; it might seem like it takes forever though. Just stay calm. He will want to see your proof of insurance also. He will then bring your stuff back and talk about the consequences; this could be having you car impounded, you getting arrested, getting a ticket or simply just getting a warning in most cases.
What you want to do before you even get pulled over make sure you always have your license on you no matter where you go. Make sure you know where you proof of insurance is and your registration so you’re not fumbling around looking for it. And if you do get pulled over stay calm, don’t get angry, don’t be nervous. Just talk to the cop more than likely they will be really understanding.
